Meet Birdie Open Birdie

Your golf group chat, with a caddie for plans.

Free for 3 months. No app store. Works on iPhone and Android.

Got an invite from a friend?

How it works

Three steps. Birdie does the chasing.

No more 40 texts to get a foursome together.

1

Invite the guys

Start a group and text the link to your golf buddies. They tap it and they're in.

2

Tap Plan or just ask

Tap Plan, or type Who's free? in the chat. Birdie asks everyone and keeps track.

3

Birdie handles the rest

Birdie counts In, Maybe and Out, nudges the guys who haven't answered, and handles the club lottery.

Private club lottery? Birdie handles it.

  • ⏰Birdie reminds the group before the lottery deadline.
  • 🙋One of you taps "I'll enter it", then "Done, I entered it".
  • ⛳When the time comes in, it gets posted to the group.
  • 📧Forward your club's booking email to Birdie and the group is updated.
  • 📅Games you're in show up in your phone calendar on their own.
For snowbirds

Summer up north. Winter in Florida. Birdie switches with you.

Tell Birdie your summer club and your winter club. Birdie knows which groups to keep busy each month.

  • Your Florida group is active in winter. Your New England group in summer.
  • Off-season groups go quiet, so your phone does too.
  • No club down south? Pick "public courses around" your town.

Public courses too

No club? No problem.

Birdie works just as well for a group that plays the local public course. Birdie gets the headcount, and someone books the time. Birdie posts it so everyone knows where and when.

Questions

Good questions, straight answers.

Do I need to download an app?

No. There is no app store. Birdie opens right in your phone's web browser. You can add it to your Home Screen so it looks and works like an app.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, both. It also works on a computer or tablet.

How do I add it to my Home Screen?

iPhone:

  1. Open Birdie in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow).
  3. Tap "Add to Home Screen".

Android:

  1. Open Birdie in Chrome.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu at the top right.
  3. Tap "Install app".

Once Birdie is on your Home Screen, you get notifications when your group needs you.

Do I need my club's permission?

No. Birdie doesn't connect to your club's tee sheet. You still book with your club the way you always have. Birdie just keeps your group organized.

Does Birdie book tee times for me?

No. You or a buddy book the time or enter the lottery. Birdie keeps everyone organized, reminds you of deadlines, and posts the time to the group.

What does Birdie read?

The messages in your groups and in your private chat with Birdie. Club emails only if you forward them to Birdie. Nothing else.

Who pays?

Only the organizer. It's free for 3 months, then $78 a year, and that covers up to 3 groups. Everyone else in the group plays free.
